Following the cancellation of  UFC 176 in Los Angeles on Aug. 2, a women’s bantamweight match-up between Shayna Baszler and Bethe Correia has been moved to UFC 177 in Sacramento, Calif. on Aug. 30.

The MMA Corner confirmed the news with sources close to the fight.

Baszler will be making her long-awaited UFC debut. The veteran competed on The Ultimate Fighter 18, but was upset by the show’s eventual winner, Julianna Pena. Prior to that, the Strikeforce veteran made three appearances under the Invicta FC banner. She dropped a closely contested decision to former UFC title challenger Sara McMann, before rebounding to submit Sarah D’Alelio. In her last official appearance, she fell to a third-round submission against recent UFC title challenger Alexis Davis.

The Brazilian Correia has taken the promotion by storm. Unbeaten through eight fights, Correia has topped veteran Julie Kedzie and TUF 18 alum Jessamyn Duke in her two Octagon outings. Duke is a teammate of Baszler, which prompted the match-up.

UFC 177 takes place Saturday, Aug. 30 from the Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento. It will be be headlined by a bantamweight title rematch between champion T.J. Dillashaw and former champion Renan Barao. The night’s main card will air on pay-per-view, while the preliminary card will be split between a Fox Sports 1 broadcast and a stream on UFC Fight Pass.

UFC 176 was scheduled to take place from the Staples Center on Aug. 2 and air live on pay-per-view. Due to an injury suffered by featherweight champion Jose Aldo, the promotion was left with little choice but to cancel the event. All other fights on the card will be pushed to upcoming cards, while the title tilt will be rescheduled for when Aldo is healthy again.
