One of Invicta FC’s latest signings, New Zealand’s Faith Van Duin, will be making her promotional debut a little later than most of the organization’s recent signings. Why, you ask?

Van Duin has been booked to fight at Storm Damage 5 in Canberra, Australia on Aug. 30. Sources close to the promotion have confirmed that the undefeated featherweight will defend the featherweight belt which she won in the promotion’s one-night tournament on Aug. 31 of last year.

In the tournament, the 28-year-old Van Duin defeated Michelle Peruzzi, Arlene Blencowe and countrywoman Kate Da Silva all in the one night to claim the title. Two of the Gym 101 product’s four career wins have come via submission, including her win over Da Silva in the tournament final.

Currently, no opponent has been named for Van Duin’s upcoming title defense. Details are expected to be revealed next week.

Also featured on the Storm Damage 5 card, heavyweight champion Andrew Machin will defend his title against Benjamin Sosoli.
