On Saturday night, light heavyweights took center stage inside the UFC Octagon when Ryan Bader (#8 light heavyweight) squared off against Ovince Saint Pruex (#10 light heavyweight) in the evening’s main event.

Ryan “Darth” Bader is currently riding a two fight win streak, with victories over Anthony Perosh and Rafael Cavalcante. Saint Preux is riding high on a five fight win streak, with victories over the likes of Ryan Jimmo and Nikita Krylov. The winner of this bout is sure to move up in the UFC’s official rankings and become a legit contender in the light heavyweight division.

Also on the card, Gray Maynard (#12 lightweight) went up against Ross Pearson. Maynard is looking to get back to his winning ways after dropping his last two bouts against TJ Grant and Nate Diaz. Pearson has also not had the best of luck lately as he lost a split decision to Diego Sanchez. The loser of this bout could easily find their UFC career in jeopardy.

The rest of the main card went down as follows:

Middleweights: Tim Boetsch (#14 middleweight) vs Brad Tavares

Welterweights: Seth Baczynski vs Alan Jouban

Heavyweights: Shawn Jordan vs Jack May

Featherweights: Thiago Tavares vs Robbie Peralta
