On Saturday, September 13, the UFC will be making another trip to Brazil for UFC Fight Night Brasilia. The event will be headlined by a bout between Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva (18-5-1, 1 NC, No. 4 heavyweight) and former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei “Pit Bull” Arlovski (22-10, 1 NC, No. 14 heavyweight)

Silva is coming off his thrilling five-round majority draw against Mark Hunt back in December 2013. Prior to that bout, Silva had gone 2-1 in his previous three bouts, racking up wins against Travis Browne and Alistair Overeem and then falling short in a title bout against reigning heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez. Overall, Silva is 2-2-1 in his five fight inside the Octagon.

Arlovski recently made his return to the UFC at UFC 174, where he scored a controversial split decision victory over Brendan Schaub in what many considered to be a very lackluster bout. That bout was his first with the UFC since UFC 82 in 2008, where he scored a second round KO victory over Jake O’brien. Prior to resigning with the UFC, Arlovski was on a four fight skid, losing to Fedor Emeilanenko, Brett Rogers, Antonio Silva, and Sergei Karitonov. Arlovski will be looking to avenge his loss to Silva, which happened in Strikeforce back in May 2010.

The card will be co-headlined by a lightweight bout between Gleison Tibau (38-10) vs. Pitor Hallmann (15-2). Also fighting on the card will be No. 7 ranked bantamweight Iuri Alcantara and No. 9 women’s bantamweight Jessica Andrade (11-3)

The entire fight card will be aired exclusively on UFC Fight Pass. The preliminary bouts will begin at 5:45 pm EST, with the main card kicking off at 8 pm EST.
