On Thursday, the UFC announced a lightweight matchup between Hawaiian Yancy Medeiros and TUF 15 alumni Joe Proctor had officially been added to the December fight card. Medeiros (10-2) is coming off a very impressive reverse bulldog submission win over UFC newcomer Damon Jackson at UFC 177 last month, earning a Performance of the Night bonus in the process. Prior to this win Medeiros stubbled to find the win column, suffering first round stoppage losses in his first three UFC bouts even. His first round knockout loss to Yves Edwards was eventually overturned due to a positive marijuana test. Proctor (10-2), a Massachusetts native, is coming off TKO victory over Justin Salas at UFC Fight Night 45 in July. Prior to this win the earned decision win over submission specialist and TUF cast mate Cristiano Marcello. He will enter this bout with a UFC record of 3-1. The Ultimate Fighter 20 Finale is scheduled to take place at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas on Dec. 12. No other fights have been announced.
