Cristiane ‘Cyborg’ Justino finally has a date in place for her bantamweight debut.

On Monday, during an episode of the UFC Minute, host Lisa Foiles officially announced that former Strikeforce champion and current Invicta FC featherweight champion would be making the drop in weight for an upcoming December fight card. There is no word on who would be welcoming her to the weight class.

Cyborg (12-1), currently the number one ranked female featherweight according to The MMA Corner fighter rankings, enters the bout riding a 13-fight unbeaten streak. In her most recent outing, fans saw the Brazilian successfully defend her Invicta title against Marloes Coenen in July 2013. Prior to this win she defeated Fiona Muxlow for the inaugural Invicta FC featherweight championship. This came after serving a one year suspension for testing positive for the anabolic steroid stanozolol.

While nothing is confirmed, a win for the controversial fighter would surely be a step in the right direction towards a women’s MMA superfight against current UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey. It should be noted that Cyborg has not fought at 135-pounds since her EliteXC debut against Rousey’s teammate Shayna Baszler more than six years ago, which she won by second round TKO.

The event, which streams on UFC Fight Pass, takes place Dec. 5, though a host city and venue haven’t been determined.
