Eddie Gordan vs Josh Samman added to UFC 181 José Youngs September 23, 2014 News On Tuesday, Newsday revealed a middleweight matchup between TUF 19 champion Eddie Gordon and Josh Samman had officially been added to the upcoming December fight card in Las Vegas. Gordon (7-1) is coming off a first round knockout victory TUF teammate Dhiego Lima at season finale in July. ‘Truck’ earned his way to the finale with three straight decision victories over Matt Gabel, Mike King and Cathal Pendred. Saman (10-2), a semifinalist on TUF 17, has not stepped inside the octagon since his second round knockout victory over Kevin Casey at The Ultimate Fighter 17 finale in April 2013. Since this win, injuries have forced the Florida native to withdraw from back-to-back fights against Uriah Hall and Caio Magalhães. UFC 181 is set to take place on Dec. 6 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center.
