Prior to this loss ‘The Savage’ suffered back-to-back knockout losses to Matt Mitrione and Gabriel Gonzaga. He will enter this bout with 12 career knockout victories and a UFC record of 4-3. Cannonier (7-0) was last seen earning his first career decision victory over Tony Lopez under the Alaska Fighting Championship banner.
