He was light years ahead of his competition for as long as most of us could remember.

But then Anderson Silva, arguably the greatest pound-for-pound fighter ever to live, was knocked off his throne. After a stunning knockout defeat to the hands of current middleweight champ, Chris Weidman, Silva suffered an ever more devastating setback.

At UFC 168, Silva broke his fibula and tibia following an attempted leg kick. It was catastrophic and heard around the world.

But authentic champions don’t stay down.

Silva will make his long-awaited return to the Octagon when he meets the all-too-familiar, Nick Diaz, in a main event classic at UFC 183 on January 31, 2015.

As if a return to the Octagon wasn’t enough motivation, Silva has recently been motivated by a video released by Bratt Mamley.
