Set to headline the card is an Invicta FC Flyweight title fight between champion and hometown favorite Barb Honchak and Japanese veteran Takayo Hashi. Honchak (9-2) will enter this bout riding a very impressive eight-fight win streak, which induces victories over current TUF 20 cast members Aisling Daly and Felice Herring. In her most recent outing, the ‘Little Warrior’ defended her 125-pound belt against current UFC bantamweight Leslie Smith in their main event title bout at Invicta FC 7 in December 2013. Hashi (15-4), who will be making her Invicta FC debut, was last seen winning the inaugural Deep-Jewels middleweight championship with a third round TKO victory over Shizuka Sugiyama in May. Prior to this win, she fought to a draw with Ji-Yeon Kim under the Road FC banner in South Korea. In the co-main event, strawweight submission specialist Mizuki Inoue returns to Invicta to take on the undefeated Karolina Kowalkiewicz of Poland. Inoue (8-2), the current Deep-Jewels Lightweight champion, was last seen securing a third round submission victory over Emi Tomimatsu in their rematch at in August. Prior to this win, fans saw her original third round submission victory over Tomimatsu overturned due to missing weight. In her previous Invicta bout, fans saw her earn a decision victory over current TUF 20 cast member Bec Rawlings at Invicta FC 6 in July 2013. Her opponent, promotional newcomer Kowalkiewicz (5-0), is coming off a first-round submission win over Jasminka Civa in May 2014. The entire fight card will stream live on UFC Fight Pass.
