On Friday Nov. 7, the UFC headed Down Under to bring fight fans everywhere UFC Fight Night 55, live from the Allphones Arena in Sydney, Australia. A lightweight matchup between a pair of TUF veterans in Ross Pearson and Al Iaquinta served as the co-main event.

Pearson was coming off an impressive second-round TKO victory over Gray Maynard at UFC Fight Night 47 in August. The TUF 9 winner entered this bout having gone unbeaten in four of his last five bouts, which included violent TKO victories over George Sotiropoulos and Ryan Couture.

Iaquinta, the TUF 15 runner-up, entered this bout having picked up wins in four of his last five UFC bouts. Prior to this fight with Pearson, the Serra-Longo product walked away with his fourth career knockout victory after turning off Rodrigo Damm’s lights in the third round of their UFC Fight Night 50 matchup.
