On Thursday night, Invicta Fighting Championship announced fast rising flyweight prospect Andrea Lee will replace Vanessa Porto against women’s mixed martial arts pioneer Roxanne Modafferi at Invicta FC 10 in December. This news comes after it was revealed Porto was going through an unforeseen delay in the visa processing.

Lee (2-0), the 2013 Women’s National Golden Gloves Champion, is coming off an impressive unanimous decision victory in her Invicta debut over Shannon Sinn at Invicta FC 9 in November. Prior to this victory “KGB” walked away with a violent TKO victory over against Kim Colbert under the Global Fighting Alliance banner.

Modafferi (16-11), a veteran of The Ultimate Fighter 18, was last seen earning a decision victory over longtime rival Tara LaRosa in their rubber match at Invicta FC 8 in September. Prior to this win, “The Happy Warrior” dropped six consecutive fights, which includes losses to current UFC bantamweights Raquel Pennington and Sara Kaufman, as well as a submission loss to current Invicta FC flyweight champion Barb Honchak.

Invicta FC 10 is currently scheduled to take place at the Arena Theatre in Hoston, Texas on December 5. An atomweight title fight between reigning champion Michelle Waterson and submission specialist Herica Tiburcio will serve as the night’s main event. The entire fight card will stream on UFC Fight Pass.
