On Saturday, November 22nd the UFC will hold UFC Fight Night 57: Edgar vs. Swanson from the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas.

In the night’s main event two featherweight contenders will clash with the hopes of earning a title shot when Frankie Edgar steps in the cage with Cub Swanson. This is definitely the big fight that Swanson has been asking for over the past year. Coming into the bout Swanson is on a six fight win streak with four of those wins coming by stoppage. Most recently he appeared in his first main event fight where he won a hard fought decision against Jeremy Stephens. Edgar is looking to get his third straight win at featherweight since losing his divisional debut to the champion, Jose Aldo. Most recently, Edgar defeated BJ Penn for the third time; stopping him due to strikes in the third round.

In the night’s co-main event we will see an intriguing matchup of lightweight contenders when Bobby Green faces Edson Barboza. Green comes in riding an eight fight winning streak with four in the UFC and four in Strikeforce. Green got the biggest win of his career his last time out when he beat Josh Thomson in a close decision victory on enemy territory. Barboza was very close to a title shot earlier this year before he got caught and submitted by Donald Cerrone. Since then, Barboza rebounded by finishing Evan Dunham in the first round.

The rest of the main card is littered with big names like Brad Pickett and Joseph Benavidez. A returning Matt Wiman opens up the main card against Isaac Vallie-Flagg. The six fight main card kicks off at 10 p.m. ET on Fox Sports 1. Four preliminary bouts precede that action on Fox Sports 1 as well at 8 p.m. ET. The first two fights on the main card stream on UFC Fight Pass at 7 p.m. ET.
