Fans of collegiate wrestling can rejoice.

On Friday morning, the UFC revealed a light heavyweight matchup between a pair of former NCAA Division I Wrestling All-Americans in Ryan Bader and Phil Davis has officially been added to UFC on FOX 14 in January.

Bader (18-4), winner of season eight of The Ultimate Fighter, will be looking to improve on his already impressive three fight win streak. In his most recent outing, the former Arizona State University product dominated Ovince Saint Preux en route to a unanimous decision in their main event matchup at UFC Fight Night 47 in August. He will enter this bout with a 10 career stoppage victories and a UFC record of 12-4.

Davis (13-2), who earned the 2008 NCAA National Wrestling Champion during his senior year at Penn State, was last seen earning a unanimous decision over former title contender Glover Teixeira in the co-main event of UFC 1 79 in October. Prior to this win, ‘Mr. Wonderful’ saw his four fight unbeaten streak snapped when he dropped a decision to the red-hot Anthony Johnson at UFC 172 in April. He will enter this bout with six career stoppage victories and a UFC record of 9-2.

“I’m going out to get this win and that is exactly what is going to happen” stated Bader in a press release. “Phil is a great fighter and a win against him will keep my momentum going in 2015.

“I’m excited to fight in front of the passionate fans of Sweden” continued Bader. “The fans there are amazing, I can’t imagine how electric the stadium will be. I’ll be looking forward to feeding off of the crowd and putting on a good show for these fans.”

UFC on FOX 14 is currently set to take place on Jan. 24 at the Tele2 Arena in Stockholm. A light heavyweight number one contenders’ bout between hometown hero Alexander Gustafsson and knockout artist Anthony Johnson will serve as the night’s main event. The event will be broadcast live on FOX at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT, with Prelims starting at 5 p.m. ET/2 p.m. PT on FOX Sports 1.
