The MMA world is getting a much needed break this week.

Now we already had the holidays, New Year’s, and UFC 182. So this week all of us fans get a week to clear our heads and get a cure for our New Year’s and UFC 182 hangover before we head into the lion’s teeth of the 2015 MMA schedule.

Now that’s not to say there isn’t any MMA this weekend, because honestly, what would we do without it. So here is a quick look at what RFA will offer us on Friday Night.

RFA

It is rare that any MMA organization, even the UFC, gets a weekend all to itself. This weekend Resurrection Fighting Alliance has that opportunity. Friday night, Ed Soares’ promotion will host their twenty second event from the Broadmoor World Arena in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The organization will crown a welterweight champion in the main event when recognizable names, Gilbert Smith and Chidi Njokuani clash for the belt. The main card airs on Friday night at 10 p.m. ET on AXS TV.

Fight Card

Gilbert Smith vs. Chidi Njokuani- for welterweight title
Mark Dickman vs. Donald Sanchez
Alvin Robinson vs. Ricky Musgrave
Prentice Ingram vs. Josh Huber
