Last week was all about crowning a new contender for Jon Jones’ light heavyweight crown. This week is about something entirely different. The return of two absolute legends of the sport is what headlines this year’s “Super Saturday” card. It isn’t just the returning legends you should be excited about this weekend. A new organization gets their chance to shine on AXS TV for the very first time.

Let’s take a look at the two cards below.

CES MMA

AXS TV is always adding new organizations to their stellar lineup for AXS TV Fights. Friday night we will get to see a new one in CES MMA. The east coast-based organization has been around for twenty six events and will now bring their twenty seventh to the big stage. Michael Schiavello and Pat Milletich will be there to call two big title fights.

UFC

The UFC has a few events that are their signature cards every single year. New Years, Independence Day, Memorial Day, and Super Bowl Weekend are the times when Zuffa brings out the big guns. This weekend is no different. The greatest fighter of all time, Anderson Silva, makes his return after over a year off due to one of the most gruesome injuries we have ever seen. His opponent will be one of the most infamous names in the history of MMA, Nick Diaz, who is fighting for the first time since his “retirement” after losing to Georges St.Pierre. Kelvin Gastelum and Al Iaquinta will both look to take big steps up in their career when they face Tyron Woodley and Joe Lauzon respectively. Whether you are watching at home, a bar, or a movie theater you don’t want to miss this one.
