Let’s try this again.

The UFC has announced the rebooking of featherweight Diego Brandão and Jimmy Hettes for UFC on FOX 15 in April.

The two were originally scheduled to meet at UFC 183 last month before Hettes was forced to pull out after falling ill just hours before their fight was scheduled to start.

Brandão (18-10), winner of the 14th season of The Ultimate Fighter, will enter this bout riding a two fight losing streak. In his most recent outing, fans saw the man known as ‘DB’ on the receiving end of  a first round TKO loss to Irish sensation Conor McGregor in the main event of UFC Fight Night 46 in July. However, Brandão is also known as the last man to defeat the surging Dennis Bermudez, who is currently riding a an impressive seven fight UFC win streak, when he slapped on tight first round armbar in their co-main event matchup at the TUF 14 Finale in December 2011. He will enter this bout with 14 career stoppages, including nine by way of knockout, and a UFC record of 4-3.

Hettes (11-2) has not been seen since suffering third round TKO loss to Bermudez at UFC 171 in March. Prior to this loss, fans saw ‘The Kid’ walk away with second round submission victory over TUF: Smashes winner Robert Whitaker at UFC Fight Night 30 in October 2013. He will enter this bout with all 10 career stoppage victories, all of which have ended in submission, and a UFC record of 3-1).

UFC on FOX 15 is currently scheduled to take place on April 18 at Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. A middleweight bout between former UFC light heavyweight champion turned middleweight contender Lyoto Machida and former Strike force middleweight champion Luke Rockhold will serve as the main event.
