Fight fans everywhere should be ecstatic about Friday, Feb. 27, 2015, because there three great fight cards to choose from. Bellator MMA, Legacy FC and Invicta FC will all be hosting events on Friday night and all three cards are worthy of fans tuning in live to watch.

But unlike Bellator and Legacy, Invicta offers something a little different…top tier women’s MMA. As the only all-female MMA promotion in North America Invicta is the place to see some of the sport’s best and brightest female fighters compete.

Women’s MMA is one of the fastest components of MMA and Invicta FC 11 on Friday night will be a shining example of that.

High Level Women’s MMA

While the UFC has a strangle hold on bantamweight and strawweight talent, Invicta FC is your home for all other things women’s MMA. Their featherweight, flyweight, and atomweight divisions are loaded with talent and they are still the best development organization for the UFC’s bantamweight and strawweight divisions. Women’s MMA has greatly evolved over the last few years and the talent just keeps getting better and better.

Top Strawweight Prospects

The co-main event of the evening features a strawweight bout between two of the sport’s best prospects in Alexa Grasso and Mizuki Inoue. 20-year-old Inoue is 8-2 with a no contest in her pro career with six of her wins coming by way of submission. Inoue also sports an impressive 11-2 kickboxing record. 24 year old Grasso is undefeated in her pro career and four of her six wins have come by first round knockout. The winner of this bout will likely be next in line to compete for the Invicta strawweight title.

The Return of Cyborg

The main event of the evening features the return of Invicta featherweight champion Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino. Justino is arguably the most dominant female fighter in MMA history and after 18 months away she will defend her title against Charmaine Tweet. As talented as Tweet is, she isn’t on the same level as Justino. If you are a fan of vintage Pride era Wanderlei Silva, then you will love the intensity and brutality that Justino brings to the cage with her.
