On Saturday April 11, 2015, the UFC continues their global expansion as they head to Poland for the first time in the organization’s history as UFC Fight Night: Gonzaga vs. Cro Cop 2 takes place at the Krakow Arena in Krakow, Poland.

While this card isn’t going to appeal to the casual fan, UFC Fight Night 64 is a quality UFC Fight Pass card featuring a lot of top European talent. Combine that with the fact that this will be the first ever UFC event in Poland and you have recipe for an exciting atmosphere.

If you are on the fence about watching UFC Fight Night 64 this Saturday, here’s three great reasons to take the time to tune in.

Polish Talent

Poland is not currently known as being a hotbed of up and coming MMA talent, but UFC Fight Night 64 might just change that perception. Seven Polish born fighters will be competing Saturday night and this is going to be a great showcase for the type of talent Poland has to offer the MMA world.

Jimi Manuwa vs. Jan Blachowicz

The UFC’s light heavyweight division has long been the organization’s premier division and Saturday’s co-main event between Manuwa and Blachowicz will be a great example of what makes the division so exciting. Even though neither fighter is destined for UFC gold, they bring a ferocity to the cage with them that few can match.

The Return of Cro Cop

When Mirko Cro Cop was released from the UFC at the end of 2011, many thought that the Pride and K-1 legend’s career was over. He had lost three bouts in a row all by way of knockout and it just seemed as if father time had caught up with him. But since that time, Cro Cop has gone 3-1 in MMA completion and 7-1 in kickboxing competition. Even though Cro Cop is 40 now, it appears as he his career has been rejuvenated.

On Saturday, Cro Cop will have the opportunity to get a little revenge against Gabriel Gonzaga; the man that brutally knocked him out at UFC 70 with his own signature head kick. Even though it’s only a matter of time before his age catches up with him again, it’s nice to see Crop Cop back in the Octagon.
