Following the recent court injunction keeping Quinton “Rampage” Jackson from competing against Fabio Maldonado at UFC 186 later this month, the UFC has announced promotional newcomer Steve Bosse has agreed to step up against Brazil’s Maldonado on just two weeks notice

Bosse (10-1), a Montreal native, will enter this bout riding an impressive 10 fight win streak, with all 10 ending by stoppage. In his most recent effort, ‘The Boss’ away with his eighth career knockout victory after the doctor determiend his opponent Caleb Grummet was unfit to continue fighting. Prior to this victory, he earned violent knockout stemming elbow over UFC and Bellator veteran Houston Alexander.

Maldonado (22-7) will enter this bout riding a four fight win streak at 205-pounds. In his most recent effort the he walked away with a second round TKO win over Hans Stringer at UFC 179 in October. This marked the Brazilian’s first stoppage win since 2010 and 13th knockout of his career.

UFC 186 is set to take place on April 25 at the Belle Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Conada. A flyeweight title fight between reigning champion Demetrious Johnson and Japanese import Kyoji Horiguchi will serve as the main event.
