It looks like Chris Camozzi got his wish.

On Saturday morning it was revealed the Camozzi had re-signed with the UFC and will now rematch Ronaldo ‘Jacare’ Souza at UFC on FOX 15 on just one weeks notice. This news comes just one day after it was announced Jacare’s original opponent, Yoel Romero, had been forced out of the bout after injuring his knee.

Camozzi (21-9 previously lost to Jacare by first round submission during the main card matchup at UFC on FX 8 in 2013. He would go on to drop his next three bouts to Lorenz Lark, Bruno Santos and Rafael Natal, resulting in the UFC cutting ties with the Colorado native. Camozzi would rebound with back-to-back first round stoppage wins under the Prize FC banner.

Jacare (21-3), a former Strikeforce champion, will be looking to add to his already impressive seven-fight streak, which includes four straight under the UFC banner. In his most recent outing, fans saw the Brazilian walk away with third-round submission victory over Gegard Mousasi in the main event of UFC Fight Night 50 in September. He will enter this bout with 17 stoppage victories, including 15 by way of submission.

UFC on FOX 15 is set to take place at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. A middleweight contest between former UFC light heavyweight champion turned middleweight contender Lyoto Machida and former Strikeforce middleweight champion Luke Rockhold will serve as the main event.
