Waterson (12-4), a Jackson-Winkeljohn product, was last seen on the receiving end of a shocking third round submission loss to Herica Tiburcio in the main event of Invicta FC 10 in December, losing her atomweight title in the process. This loss not only snapped “The Karate Hottie’s” six fight win but also marked her first defeat under the Invicta FC banner. Magana (11-7), who has risen to prominence through a series of bizarre tweets over the past few months, is coming off a loss in her UFC debut to Tecia Torres at The Ultimate Fighter 20 Finale in December. A longtime veteran of the sport, Magana has competed against some of the most prominent female fighters in the business, including current UFC bantamweight Jessica Eye, Invicta FC flyweight champion Barb Honhack and current WSOF strawweight champion Jessica Aguilar. She will enter this bout with eight career stoppage victories, including six by way of submission. The bout will be featured on the TUF 21 Finale card at a location to be determined in Florida.
