Jessamyn Duke (Dave Mandel/Sherdog)Jessamyn Duke vs. Elizabeth Phillips Added to UFC on FOX 16 José Youngs May 28, 2015 Events, News, Spotlight On Thursday afternoon, UFC officials announced the women’s bantamweight rematch between Jessamyn Duke and Elizabeth Phillips has officially been added to UFC on FOX 16 in Chicago. The two previously met as amateurs under RFA banner, where fans saw Duke walk away with a second round submission win. Both women will be looking to get back into the win column after dropping their last respective bouts. Phillips (4-3) suffered back-to-back split decisions losses in her first two bouts under the UFC banner to Valerie Letourneau and Milana Dudieva. Here loss to Letourneau snapped her four fight win streak, all of which came under the Conquest of the Cage banner. She will enter this bout with three stoppage wins. Duke (3-2) most recently suffered a first round TKO loss to Leslie Smith last July. Prior to this she suffered her first professional loss at the hands of current title contender Bethe Correia at UFC 172. This setback snapped Duke’s four fight unbeaten streak, which included a decision win in her UFC debut against Peggy Morgan. UFC on FOX 16 is scheduled to take plae on July 25 at the United Center in Chicago. A bantamweight title fight between current champ T.J. Dillashaw and former champion Renan Barão will serve as the main event.
