On Tuesday afternoon, UFC officials announced Paul Felder will replace the injured Myles Jury against Edson Barboza at UFC on FOX 16 later this summer. There is no word on the severity of Jury’s injury or timetable for his return.

Felder (10-0) will be looking to pick up his third straight win inside the Octagon and 11 straight overall. In his most recent being a violent spinning fast fist knockout over Danny Castillo at UFC 182 in December, earning a Performance of the Night bonus. ‘The Irish Dragon’ was expected to meet Jim Miller at UFC on FOX 15 in April before an injury forced him off the card. He will enter this bout with seven career stopapge wins, all of which have come by way of knockout.

Barboza (15-3) will be looking to right the ship after dropping a one sided decision to Michael Johnson at UFC Fight Night 61. This setback, snapped the dynamic strikers two fight win streak, which included a TKO win over Evan Dunham. He will enter this bout with 11 career stoppage wins, including nine by way of knockout, and a UFC record of 9-2.

UFC on FOX 16 is currently set to take place on July 25 at the United Center in  Chicago. A bantamweight title fight between reigning champion T.J. Dillashaw and former champion Renan Barão will serve as the main event.
