On Friday,  July 17, Legacy Fighting Championship touched down in Hinckley, Minnesota to bring fight fans Legacy FC 43: Krantz vs. Larson live from the Grand Casino Hinckley Hotel.

In the night’s headlining act, Derrick Kratnz squared off against Brock Larson to determine the new Legacy FC featherweight champion.

Krantz (16-8) entered this bout having picked up wins in his two previous bouts under the Legacy FC banner. In his most recent effort ‘D-Rock’ earned a submission win over Daniel Roberts after slapping on an impressive Von Flue choke halfway through their first round matchup at Legacy FC 35.

Larson (41-9), a former UFC and WEC veteran, was making his Legacy FC debut. In his two most recent bouts, the Minnesota native walked with TKO victories over Eddie Larrea and Kyle Olsen under the King of the Cage banner.

The early rounds were a back and forth with intermittent action.  Krantz had Larson hurt later in the second, but the UFC veteran was able to recover. A double-low blow in the third slowed the action down, but after little action Krantz landed a heavy left that sent Larson to the canvas on wobbly legs.
