(Esther Lin/MMAFighting)UFC on Fox 16: What We Learned Last Night Jeremy Klump July 26, 2015 News, Recaps, Spotlight UFC on Fox 16 was a great card and was even better because it was free. It was filled with exciting fights and great action. In the main event, bantamweight champion TJ Dillashaw defended his belt in a big way. He dominated Renan Barao again and easily defended his belt. It left fans walking away thinking about his next title defense. Miesha Tate won easily in the co-main event over Jessica Eye. Tate was just too much for Eye and won by unanimous decision. Dillashaw Is The Real Deal: I was always a believer of Dillashaw, but some saw him as a fluke. To all the people who thought he was a fluke, Dillashaw is laughing at you. He went out and absolutely dominated Barao once again. The last time they fought, Dillashaw ended the fight in the fifth and final round. This time around, Dillashaw only needed four rounds, and was very close to only needing three. Dillashaw looked phenomenal and he is the real deal. He is becoming a star in the UFC for sure and has me excited to see his next fight. Rousey Could Be The Champion For A Long Time: Ronda Rousey has a big fight coming up next weekend at UFC 190, but if she can beat Bethe Correia on Saturday, it does not seem like the next contender is someone she needs to be worried about. Miesha Tate and Jessica Eye fought for the chance to take on the winner of Rousey and Correia, but both did not really show they will be able to takedown the current champion if they get the chance. If Rousey wins on Saturday, she will be the champion for a very long time. Barboza And Felder Do Not Disappoint: One of the best fights on the card was Edson Barboza vs. Paul Felder and it lived up to the calling. Both fighters stood there and traded all fight. Barboza was landing some nasty kicks while Felder was answering with his own arsenal of spinning shots. Both fighters made sure the fight was what the fans would enjoy and they did. Barboza is always a threat and even though Felder did not get the win, he showed that he can be a legitimate fighter in the lightweight division.
