All of the hype for UFC goes to the main event, Ronda Rousey vs. Bethe Correia, which is for the women’s bantamweight title of the world.

Rousey draws hype to all of her fights because she is the best women’s fighter in the world and has dominated all of her competition. Whenever you win a fight in thirty seconds, you are doing something right. Whenever you win your last two fights in thirty seconds, and both to defend your title, you are easily the best fighter in your weight class. That is exactly what Rousey is and she will be looking to show that once again against Correia.

Correia is undefeated as well, but she has never fought anyone like Rousey. Everyone talks about how Correia is a hard matchup for Rousey, but what people need to talk about is that Correia has never fought this tough of an opponent.

The bantamweight title fight should be a good fight regardless, as Rousey always brings it, but there is another fight on the card that is also going to be good.

That fight is the co-main event, a top fifteen light heavyweight fight, between Mauricio “Shogun” Rua and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira

Rua comes into the fight as the #8 ranked light heavyweight in the world. The former light heavyweight champion of the world is coming off of two straight losses and will be look to get back on track against.

Nogueira has not fought in over a year, and his last fight was a first round TKO loss to Anthony “Rumble” Johnson. He is currently ranked #11 in the division and is looking to show that he still has some gas in the tank.

Here are the keys to victory for Shogun Rua.

Keep The Fight Standing:

A lot of people feel that Shogun has a striking advantage in the fight, which makes me feel like Nogueira may not want to stand and trade with him. I expect Nogueira to try and use his black belt in BJJ, but Rua needs to make sure that he keeps the fight standing.

Be More Experienced:

Nogueira and Rua both have a ton of fights and have been fighting for years, but Rua needs to be the more experienced fighter on Saturday. Rua has been a champion and fought in bigger fights than this, so he needs to make sure that he shows that on Saturday.

Start Fast:

Rua may have been out of MMA for a little while, but Nogueira has been out longer. Rua needs to start fast and attack Nogueira immediately. If he can start fast and get on Nogueira, he will be able to end the fight sooner rather than later.
