The light heavyweight contest between Glover Teixiera and Patrick Cummins has been booked for UFC Fight Night 77 in November. UFC Senior Vice President and General Manager of Brazil Giovani Decker today announced the matchup during an appearance on Brazilian broadcast outlet Canal Combate.

Teixeira (22-4) most recently snapped his career worst two-fight win streak with a third round submission of Ovince Saint Preux at UFC Fight Night 73 earlier this month. Prior to this win, the Brazilian suffered a one-sided unanimous decision loss to Phil Davis at UC 179 after seeing 20-fight win streak snapped at the hands of former champion Jon Jones in their title fight at UFC 172. He will enter this bout with 20 career stoppage wins, including 13 by way of knockout.

Cummins (8-2), who came to prominence after taking a bout with current number contender Daniel Cormier on just two weeks notice, was last seen earning a dominant decision victory over former Strikeforce champion Rafael Cavalcante at UFC 190. This win got him back in the win column after suffering a violent knockout loss to Saint Preux at UFC on FOX 15 in April. This setback snapped “Durkin’s” three fight win streak. Cummins will enter this bout with six career stoppage wins, including four by way of knockout.

UFC Fight Night 78 is currently set to take place on Nov. 7 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. No other fights have been announced yet. A middleweight rubber match between Vitor Belfort and Dan Henderson will serve as the main event.
