On Saturday afternoon, former Pride FC heavyweight legend Mirko Cro Cop took to his Facebook to announce he will be facing Anthony Hamilton on the upcoming UFC Fight Night 79 card in Seoul, South Korea Cro Cop (31-11-2), real name Flipovic, most recently made his return to UFC for the first time in three-and-a-half years with violent TKO victory over Gabriel Gonzaga in April, avenging his 2007 loss in the process. The 40-year-old former K-1 Champion previously left the UFC in 2011 after suffering three straight knockout losses to Frank Mir, Brenden Schaub and Roy Nelson. He would go on to take an extended leave from MMA altogether, in order to concentrate on kickboxing, before returning to the sport 2012. Hamilton (14-4), a former MFC champion, will be looking to pick up his second straight win inside the Octagon. In his most recent contest, ‘Freight Train’ earned a decision over Daniel Omielańczuk on the same card Cro Cop defeated Gonzaga in April. Prior to this, fans saw him suffer a knockout loss to Todd Duffee at UFC 181. UFC Fight Night 79 will take place on Nov. 28 show at the Olympic Gymnastics Arena in Seoul, South Korea. A welterweight contest between Benson Henderson and Thiago Alves has been rumored to the main event.
