Ricky Simon is cementing himself as a legitimate prospect in the sport of mixed martial arts. He is currently 6-0, with four of those victories coming by way of TKO, and has won his last two fights by decision. In Simon’s four TKO victories, which were in his first four fights, Simon ended the fight quickly; all four were first round TKO victories. Simon talked about his six professional fights.

“The first couple fights have been in and out, but the last two have gone the distance,” Simon told The MMA Corner. So, you know, I am getting the cage experience. I got tested by some tough opponents.”

Simon may have gained great experience by going the distance in his last two fights, but he gets even more by training at Rose City FC. Simon talked about training at one of the better gyms around.

“Training at Rose City has been top notch,” said Simon. “It is awesome. I get to see veteran’s everyday in there. I get to learn from them. We have awesome striking coaches. I feel great there.”

One of Simon’s training partners, and another Rose City FC member, is current Titan FC lightweight champion Pat Healy. Healy recently defended his belt for Titan FC and will be defending it again at Titan FC 35. Simon will also be fighting at Titan FC 35 because he signed with one of the best organizations outside of the UFC. Simon talked about signing with Titan FC.

“I was going into my last fight and I got a call from Titan,” said Simon. “I was excited. It is more motivation knowing that my career is going somewhere because I got a fight on Titan. It is live on UFC Fight Pass. It is a quick turnaround from my last fight, but there was no way I was not signing with Titan and doing it.”

Simon will make his Titan FC debut at Titan FC 35, which will be on UFC Fight Pass. The card features some big time names in MMA and is filled with some up and comers like Simon. Simon talked about fighting on UFC Fight Pass and also what it is like to be on such a big card.

“It is awesome,” said Simon. “It is big. My emotions will be high. I have to perform well when the stakes are this high. I feel like I will have an awesome performance on UFC Fight Pass. It is exciting; man, to fight on UFC Fight Pass and such a big card. It is cool to fight on the same card as Pat [Healy]. We have six of us on the card fight from Rose City, so we are going to blow up and all have awesome performances.”

With six fighters from Rose City FC fighting on Titan FC 35, you know that there has to be some sort of competitors between them. Simon talked about the fun the fighters at Rose City FC are having leading up to Titan FC 35.

“We are all competitors and joking around,” said Simon. “We joke around about ticket sales, you know, we add up every week who has the most. Everything we do is a competition.”

Having everything as a completion will be good for Simon as he is taking on his hardest competition yet in his career, Alex Soto. Soto is a UFC veteran and stands at 7-2-1 in his career. Simon talked about his opponent Alex Soto and his fight at Titan FC 35.

“It is super important to me to show that I belong in there with him,” said Simon. “He is a really tough dude. It is a really huge opportunity for me to show that I can make it at the next level. He has an awesome energy when he fights, and so do I, so it should be an awesome fight.”

Simon said it should be an awesome fight and he also had a prediction for the fight.

“My last two fights have gone to a decision,” said Simon. “I feel like they should not have. I have been putting in so much work and I am predicting a second round KO.”
