On Wednesday afternoon, during an episode of UFC Tonight, it was revealed the UFC had added a featherweight contest between Myles Jury and Charles Oliveira to UFC on FOX 17 in December.

For Jury (15-1), a veteran of season 15 of The Ultimate Fighter, this will mark his first fight at 145-pounds after spending his whole career at lightweight. ‘Fur’ has not been since since suffering first career loss, which came in the form of a one-sided beatdown at the hands of Donald Cerrone at UFC 182 in January. This will also mark his first bout as a member of the Power MMA Team in Tempe, AZ.

Prior to this setback, the man known as ‘Fury’ had won all six of his bouts under the UFC banner, which included TKO victory over former Pride FC legend Takanori Gomi and a decision over TUF 1 champion Diego Sanchez.

Oliveira (20-5) will be looking to bounce back after suffering a bizarre injury in his first round loss to Max Holloway in August. This setback snapped the Brazilians four fight win streak, which included three submission wins, four post fight bonuses and one Submission of the Year. ‘Da Bronx’ holds notable wins over Jeremy Stephens, Nik Lentz and Darren Elkins.

UFC on FOX 17 is currently set to take place Dec. 19 at the Amway Center in Orlando. This will mark the final event of the UFC’s 2015 calendar. A lightweight title fight between dos Anjos and Donald Cerrone will serve as the main event.
