The lightweight bout between UFC super-prospect Sage Northcutt and Cody Pfister has officially been added to UFC Fight Night 80 in December. UFC officials announced the matchup on Twitter.

Northcutt (6-0), who recently made the move to the famed TriStar gym in Canada,  made waves during his UFC debut after walking away with a 57-seconds TKO over Francisco Trevino at UFC 192 earlier this month. The 19-year-old Texas native first rose to prominence following his appearance on UFC President’s Dana  White’s Looking for a Fight web series where fans witness him score an impressive second round submission over Gage Duhon under the Legacy FC banner. To date, all six of his career wins have been finishes, with only reaching past the first round.

Pfister (12-4-1) will be looking to pick up his second straight win in the Octagon after earning a deision over Yosdenis Cedeno at UFC 189 in July. The 25-year-old previously suffered a second round submission loss in his UFC debut to James Moontasri at UFC Fight Night 60. This setback snapped Pfister’s eight fight unbeaten streak. He will enter this bout with seven career stoppage wins, including 4 by way of KO/TKO.

UFC Fight Night 80 is currently scheduled to take place Dec. 10 at The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan and will stream live on UFC Fight Pass. A women’s strawweight matchup between Paige VanZant and Joanne Calderwood will serve as the main event.
