(BAMMA)First Bouts Announced For BAMMA 24 in Dublin José Youngs October 28, 2015 News, Spotlight BAMMA has announced the addition of four bouts to BAMMA 24, which marks the promotions return to Dublin after the hugely successful BAMMA 22 earlier this year. According the BAMMA officials the four new matchups will feature the Ireland vs. England sporting rivalry in the spotlight. The bouts include a welterweight contest between Peter Queally vs. Nathan Jones, a pair of middleweight bouts between Chris Fields vs. Andy DeVent and Paul Byrne vs. Bola Omoyele as well as a lightweight fight between Myles Price vs. Mario Saeed. Queally (6-2), an SBG Ireland product, has had recent stints in Poland and South Africa, but now returns to his hometown at the 3Arena. A grapplers, ‘The Showstopper’ was last seen earning a decision over Tomasz Jakubiec in September. He will enter this bout with all six of his professional wins ending in decision. His opponent, the recently signed Jones (9-4), will be looking to improve on his five-fight win streak, all of which have ended in stoppage. In his most BAMMA bout “Mr. Bag & Tag” hadned Oskar Somerfeld his first professional loss with a tight first round triangle choke at BAMMA 19. To date, eight of his nine professional wins have ended by way of submission. Fields (10-7-1), an alumni of season 19 of The Ultimate Fighter 19, will be looking to pick up his first win since September 2012. In his most recent contest “The Housewives’s Choice” suffered a second round submission loss to Christopher Jacquelin back BAMMA 22 in September. Prior to this setback, Fields was seen on the receiving end a 23-second TKO at BAMMA 22. DeVent (12-10) last competed in the main event of BAMMA 21where he came across the 185-pound road block that is BAMMA champion Cheick Kone. His second round TKO loss snapped his two fight win streak. Training out of one of UK’s fastest rising gyms at ASW, alongside the likes of Lonsdale Champion Marc Diakiese and former BAMMA Middleweight Champion Scott Askham, “The Lion’s Paw” will be looking to pick up his 11th career stoppage win. Byrne (6-0) was last seen walking away with a spectacular head kick knockout over Conor Cooke at BAMMA 22. Another product from SBG Ireland, Byrnce has earned stoppage in all six of professional bouts, including three coming in the opening frame. Omolyele (8-4) finally makes his BAMMA debut after appearing at several events cornering Team Titan teammates. “Cashflow” will not only be looking to end Byrne’s unbeaten run, but propel himself straight into the BAMMA Middleweight title mix with an impressive victory at the 3Arena on fight night. Omoeyle is entering Dublin off the back of a win against Tye Palmer in May 2015. Price (8-6) returned to MMA after a 20 month lay off from competing, where fans saw him come out on the losing end a tight decision to Kane Mousah at BAMMA 22. Both men earned rave reviews from the fans for their performance. Saaed (6-2) has secured armbar victories in four of his six profesisonal wins. “Rudeboy” also has a victory over former BAMMA fighter Wayne Drake via decision in 2013. The entire event is scheduled to take place on Feb. 27 at the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland.
