A middleweight contest between Gegard Mousasi and Thales Leites has been added to UFC Fight Night 83 in London.

Mousasi broke the news on his Facebook page Sunday afternoon. It should be noted that UFC officials have yet to make the official announcement.

Mousasi (37-6-2), a former Strikeforce, Cage Warriors and Dream champion, was originally sheduled to meet Micahel Bisping in the co-main event before Bisping was bumped up the headling act opposite Anderson Silva. Against Leites, “The Dreamcatcher” will be looking to get back into the win column after suffering a violent second round spinning back kick knockout to Uriah Hall at UFC Fight Night 75.

Prior to this setback, Mousasi torched mixed martial arts icon Dan Hendeson with a first round TKO at UFC on FOX 13 in January. Mousasi currently holds an outstanding 31 career stoppage victories, including 19 by way of knockout, and UFC record of 3-3.

Leites (25-4), a former title contender, will also be looking to right the ship after dropping a decision to Bipsing in July. This setback not only snapped the Brazilians five fight win streak but also marked his first decision loss since 2009.

Prior to his loss to Bipsing, fans saw Leites walk away with an impressive second round submission over Tim Botch at UFC 183, earning a Fight and Performance of the Night bonus in the process.  He currently holds a UFC record of 10-4.

UFC Fight Night 83 is currently scheduled to take place February 27 at the 02 Arena in London. A middleweight fight between Silva and Bisping will serve as the main event. The entire even will stream live on UFC Fight Pass
