On Saturday, January 2, 2016, the UFC touched down in Las Vegas to bring fight fans the first fight card of the year, UFC 195: Lawler vs. Condit, lvie from the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

Headlining the event will be a welterweight title fight between reigning champion Robbie Lawler and former interim champion Carlos Condit.

Lawler (26-10) most recently finished Rory MacDonald early in the fifth round of their Fight of the Year at UFC 189 in July, defending his belt in the process. Condit (30-8), also a former WEC champion, was last seen brutalizing former title contender Thiago Alves at UFC Fight Night 67 en route to a vicious seoncd round TKO.
