According to reports, a featherweight matchup between Dennis Bermudez and Tatsuya Kawajiri is being targeted for UFC Fight Night 82 in Pittsburgh.

Bermudez (14-4), the runner up on season 14 of The Ultimate Fighter, will be looking to snap his career worst two fight losing streak. In his most recent contest, “The Menace” suffered a third round flying knee knockout from Jeremy Stephens at UFC 189 in July.

Prior to this setbback, Bermudez saw his seven fight win streak snapped at the hands of a first round submission to former title contender Ricardo Lamas at UFC 180. Of his seven previous wins, three ended came by way of stoppage, including an impressive second round submission over fan favorite Clay Guida.

Kawajiri (35-8-2), a former Shooto champion and Pride FC veteran, will be looking to make it three straight inside the Octagon. In his two most recent contests, the man known as “Crusher” earned decision over Jason Knight and Dennis Siver. He will enter this contest with an astounding,22 career stoppage wins, including 12 by way of knockout.

UFC Fight Night 82 is currently scheduled to take place February 27 at the Consol Energy Center Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. A welterweight contest between former lightweight contender Donald Cerrone and Tim Means will serve as the headlining act.
