A welterweight contest between Hector Lombard and Neil Magny has been announced for the co-main event of UFC Fight Night 84 in March.

Lombard (35-4), the former Bellator middleweight champion, is currently serving a suspension for testing positive for the anabolic steroid desoxymethyltestosterone following his decision win over Josh Burkman at UFC 182. As a result, his victory was overturned to a No Contest.

Prior to this failed test, “Showeather” earned a dominant decision against Jake Shields and a blistering knockout over Nate Marquardt. He will enter this contest with 26 career stoppage wins, including 19 by way of (T)KO.

Magny (17-4), veteran of season 16 of The Ultimate Fighter, was last seen picking up a split decision win over TUF 17 winner Kelvin Gastelum at the TUF Latin America 2 Finale in November. Prior to this win, the Denver native earned another split decision, this time over Erick Silva at UFC Fight Night 74 after taking the fight on just two weeks notice. He will enter this bout with eight careers stoppage wins, including five by way of knockout, and a UFC record of 10-3.

UFC Fight Night 84 is currently scheduled to take place on March 20 in Brisbane, Australia. A heavyweight fight between Mark Hunt and Frank Mir will serve as the main event.
