According to reports, the UFC is looking to add a lightweight fight between Michael Chiesa and Beneil Dariush to UFC on FOX 19 in April. MMAFighting.com was the first to report the news.

Dariush (12-1) will be looking to extend his five fight win streak.  In his most recent outing, the Iranian earned a controversial split decision over longtime Michael Johnson at UFC Fight Night 73 in August. Prior to this win, the submission specialist scored the biggest win of his career in the former of a decision over longtime UFC veteran Jim Miller at UFC on FOX 16 in April. He will enter this bout with eight career stoppage wins, including six by way of submission

Chiesa (13-2) is coming off his own win over Miller where fans saw the Washington native slap on a tight rear-naked choke late in the second round of their matchup at UFC Fight Night 80 in January. Prior to this win, “Maverick” got back into the win column with a decision over Mitch Clarke last April. Chiesa will previously suffered a TKO loss to Joe Lauzon in September 2014 after cage side doctors determined the cut over his eye was too big to continue.

There is currently no word on where this event will take place.
