After Carlos Condit’s thrilling fight against Robbie Lawler in UFC 195, many thought it would be the last time he would step back into the octagon. When the decision did not go in his favour, the Jackson-Wink mixed martial artist was thinking about retiring from the sport altogether.

After taking some time out from the game, Condit is in no rush to get back into the octagon. Speaking to reporters, he said: “An immediate rematch with Lawler is about the only fight that raises my pulse,” Condit said. “That I can get interested in. Those other fights are a bit more, the rematch with Robbie would be, boom, we’d have about an agreement in the box real quick, and we could get that done.”

Condit is still one of, if not the best fighter in the division. Putting money on him to win is always the best free bets you can make. It would be a shame for him to retire but it is understandable. He has been in many epic, brutal battles in his career which will have taken their toll on the fighter. With over 40 fights in total, he has been one of the most active fighters in the UFC. He is now a family man and wants to make sure he can enjoy life in his later years.

Condit went on to say, “I still love what I do, I still have a lot of fight left in me. From a looking long-term, I have to do what is right for my health, for my family, things have been difficult the last couple years, my wife has had some health problems that are relatively major, and, you know, these fights are super stressful. Like I said, I absolutely love what I do. I’ve got to do what’s right for my family. I’m still weighing my options now.”

Condit has not spoken about the possible rematch yet with UFC bosses. The fighter is in no rush to make a decision about his future in the octagon. He spent over six-month training for his last fight which turned out to be a war. It is likely the fighter will not be able to resist the chance to compete for the title again, which is why many punters have put free bets on it happening.

After watching the tapes of his last fight on more than one occasion, Condit believes he should have been handed the win. The fighter acknowledges how close it was but thinks that he just did enough to get the result and thinks many fight fans agree with him. Fans who put free bets on him winning were furious as they lost out.

The scoring system has been implemented, does not work well with mixed martial arts. There have been many occasions that the scoring system has failed, and the wrong fighter won the fight. It is why UFC President Dana White, always tells fighters not to leave it in the hands of the judges. If Condit does enter the octagon again, it would be worth searching for the best free bets on him being successful the second time around.
