Valor Fights has announced it’s return to The International in Knoxville, TN., with their first event of 2016.

Valor Fights 30 will feature a lightweight main event between Nick Gherts (4-2) and Steven Haag (1-0).

“We are excited to kick off our 2016 slate of events with Valor 30 from The International in Downtown Knoxville, “said Valor Fights President Tim Loy. “This is one of our favorite venues and we have put together an action packed lineup that features some great talent. I expect several guys to be looking to make serious statements in the cage as everyone is angling for position and the top spots going into this year.”

In the co-main event Corey Browning (2-0) faces Randy Stamey (2-2), both fighters are riding two fight win streaks.

Josh Cate will also face Nick Collins while Jason King does battle William Ewers to round out the pro portion of the card.

In the night’s amateur bouts, Freddie Walker will look to defend his Valor Fights bantamweight title against Austin Childers. Their bout will be one of two UMMAF qualifiers as Ben Rowland and Tyrone Garner will fight for the vacant Valor heavyweight champion.
