In his most recent effort, the Wisconsin native submitted former UFC heavyweight champion and submission specialist Josh Barnett late in the second round of their RUFC on FOX 18 bout. This performance not only extended Rothwell’s win streak to four straight but also marked fifth stoppage win in his last six bouts. To date 33 or Rothwell’s 36 wins have ended in stoppage, including 20 by (T)KO. Dos Santos (17-4), on the other hand, will be looking to right the ship after suffering a devastating second round knockout loss to Overeem in December. This setback marked theDos Santos’ first apperance inside the Octagon since his hard fought decision win over Stipe Miocic in December 2014.
