A lightweight bout between the undefeated James Vick and the The Utlimate Fighter Brazil 4 winner Glaico Franca has officially been added to UFC 197 in Las Vegas. The UFC officials announced the matchup on Tuesday.

Vick (8-0), a veteran of the 15th season of The Ultiamte Fighter, is coming off an impressive first roun submission win over Jake Matthews at UFC Fight Night 65, earning his first Performance of the Night bonus in the process.

Prior to this win, “The Texecutioner” earned back-to-back decisions over Nick Hein and Valmir Lazaro and a 58-second submission win in his UFC debut against Ramsey Nijem.

Franca (13-3) made his UFC debut in the final round of TUF Brazil 4 lightweight tournament at UFC 190, submitting Fernando Bruno in the third-round. Franca earned his spot in the finals after earning three straight submissions on the reality show.

UFC 197 is currently scheduled to take place on April 23 in Las Vegas. A light heavyweight title fight between champion Daniel Cormier and former champ Jon Jones will serve as the headlining act. In the co-main event, Demetrious Johnson puts his flyweight title on the line against former Olympic gold medalist Henry Cejudo.
