The USA Mixed Martial Arts Federation will hold the USA National Amateur MMA Championship Tournament in Arizona. The event will feature an eight-man bracketed, random draw tournament.

The tournament, which take place between April 1-3, will feature two cages and over 140 fighters. The entire event will be hosted by Aggression Session MMA and will take place at the Fort McDowell Resort and Casino in Phoenix, AZ. Weigh-ins go down on March 31st.

Female:

  • Strawweight: -52.2 kg (115 lbs)
  • Flyweight: -56.7 kg (125 lbs)
  • Bantamweight: -61.2 kg (135 lbs)
  • Featherweight: -65.8 kg (145 lbs)
  • Lightweight: -70.3 kg (155 lbs)

Male:

  • Flyweight: -56.7 kg (125 lbs)
  • Bantamweight: -61.2 kg (135 lbs)
  • Featherweight: -65.8 kg (145 lbs)
  • Lightweight: -70.3 kg (155 lbs)
  • Welterweight: -77.1 kg (170 lbs)
  • Middleweight: -83.9 kg (185 lbs)
  • Light Heavyweight: -93.0 kg (205 lbs)
  • Heavyweight: -120.2 kg (265 lbs)
  • Super Heavyweight: +120.2 kg (+265 lbs)

Winners will be sent to Las Vegas to compete in the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation’s World Championships during International Fight Week in July.

The 2015 tournament attracted Amateur competitors from 27 countries. IMMAF participants for the upcoming IMMAF European Open are numbering close to 200. With the expansion of IMMAF membership to 47 countries and ongoing increase in the level of competition, the 2016 IMMAF World Championships is expected to shatter last years attendance.

IMMAF Championship events follow a unique tournament format within the sport and competitors are selected by draw to determine who they face in each round of competition. The entire tournament follows the unified IMMAF Rules of Amateur MMA.
