Nate Diaz shocked the world when he forced UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor to tap with a tight rear-naked choke late in the second round of their UFC 196 fight this past weekend.

The brash talking Irishman had entered the pair’s welterweight contest as heavy favorite, having rattle off six straight knockout wins before meeting Diaz in the center of the Octagon.

But when the world finally bore witness to McGregor’s mortality, it seemed the entire sporting community turned on him as they pointed out his inability to back up all of his trash talk leading up to the fight.

But don’t count pop star Justin Bieber amongst those celebrating McGregor’s setback. Almost immediately after the man known as “Notorious” tapped, the “Purpose” singer took to his Instagram to reveal the outcome “broke his heart” while also taking a shot at Diaz’s fighting style.

“No bandwagon but Conor is a true champion, fights with style and finesse, all the respect to Nate but his style is terrible. Nate has crazy heart respect,” wrote Bieber.

Diaz, never one to back down, responded on his own Instagram account with artwork depicting the Stockton native slapping the 22-year-old.

“Biebers a hater,” wrote the Stockton native along with a waving hand emoji.

Neither Bieber nor McGregor has yet to respond.
