UFC strawweight Paige VanZant has officially joined the cast the upcoming 22nd season of Dancing With The Stars. She will be paired with two-time winner Mark Ballas.

This will make the 21-year-old the first active UFC fighter to compete on the reality show. UFC Hall of Famers Chuck Liddell and Randy Couture previously competed after announcing their retirements from mixed martial arts.

The TV show is currently set to begin airing on March 21.

As far as MMA competition, VanZant (6-2), a Team Alpha Male Product, most recently saw her perfect UFC come to an end at the hands of Rose Namajunas after being submitted late in the fifth round of their UFC Fight Night 80 main event contest.

Prior to this setback, “12 Gauge” compiled a UFC record 3-0. Prior to facing Namajunas, the woman known as, VanZant walked away stoppage wins over Alex Chambers and Kailin Curran as well a decision over Felice Herrig.
