Add World Series of Fighting lightweight champion Justin Gaethje to the growing list of fighters looking to pick a fight with one of the main event combatants at UFC 196 last weekend.

In what is trending to be one of the biggest events in UFC history, fans witnessed Nate Diaz submit Irish superstar Conor McGregor late in the second round of their main event welterweight matchup.

But according to WSOF rep Mike Afromowitz, don’t count Gaethje among those impressed with the Stockton native’s victory.

“I’ll beat Nate Diaz in one round with leg kicks,” said Gaethje.

Gaethje (16-0) recently kept his perfect record in tact after decimating rival Brian Foster with leg kicks en route to a first round TKO at WSOF 29 yesterday night.

Prior to his win over Foster, ‘The Highlight’ walked away with a back-to-back knockouts over Luis Palomino at WSOF 19 and 23.
