Erstwhile Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) 185-pound czar Anderson Silva (33-7-1 NC MMA, 16-3-1 NC UFC) seems to have his mind set on a trio of fighters he’d like to throw down with. The fighter on the top of that list is current featherweight champ Conor McGregor (19-3 MMA, 7-1 UFC).

The 40-year-old Brazilian would also like to rematch both Nick Diaz and Michael Bisping. The former was ruled a no-contest as both Diaz and Silva popped hot for banned substances, which subsequently lead to suspensions for the duo. Per contra, the Bisping fight ended contentiously, and “The Spider” would like the opportunity to redeem himself.

“That’s a challenge I would like to do. I’ve never asked to fight anybody, but I would like to test my martial arts skills against Conor McGregor. I would like that and a rematch with Nick Diaz and Michael Bisping. I think McGregor is a great striker, but he didn’t do very well in his last fight because he played into Nate Diaz’s game and that’s really hard. The Diaz brothers have a lot of gas. You have to respect him, the loss to Diaz doesn’t diminish his career at all. These are the fighters I would like to fight. McGregor, Diaz and Bisping because that fight did not end nicely.”

Albeit there’s a 40-pound difference in weight, the once pound-for-pound king believes the problem could be solved by fighting at catchweight.

“We could do a catchweight. He said we would fight anybody, anywhere. I think a catchweight would be interesting for the sport, for me and for him.”

Right now this all speculative; Silva is scheduled to lock horns with Uriah Hall, May 14 at UFC 198 in Curitiba, Brazil. McGregor versus Nate Diaz is supposedly in the works for the historic UFC 200 bash. Nick on the other hand is still suspended, whilst “The Count” is lying in wait for the outcome of the middleweight championship rematch bout to be contested between Luke Rockhold and Chris Weidman at UFC 199.
