On Tuesday afternoon the UFC announced the open casting call for the upcoming season of The Ultimate Fighter 24 has been canceled.

TUF 24 was expected to feature 16 flyweight competitors competing for a shot at the 125-pound world championship. The two finalists would expected to compete in the final episode of the season with the the winner going on face the flyweight champion at the live TUF 24 Finale in December

The tryouts were originally scheduled for April 25 in Las Vegas.

The UFC released the following statement on the cancellation:

“UFC apologizes for any inconveniences this cancelation has caused. More information about the next season of the show will be made available in the weeks to come.”
