Conor McGregor is back on for the main event of UFC 200 in July.

Well, according to McGregor that is.

On Sunday night, the UFC’s reigning featherweight champion took to Twitter to announce he had reached an agreement with the promotion’s president Dana White and CEO Lorenzo Fertitta to secure the headlining spot for the highly anticipated summer event.

“Happy to announce that I am BACK on UFC 200! Shout out to Dana WHite and Lorenzo Fertitta on getting this one done for the fans. Respect,” wrote McGregor.

This announcement comes just a few days after the UFC announced it had pulled McGregor from the event after refusing to show up for a scheduled media tour in Las Vegas.

The Irishman would later post his widely circulated Facebook status revealing the excessive promotion he had gone through leading up to his last several fights has finally taken a toll on him.

McGregor (18-3) is now expected rematch Nate Diaz (19-10) on the July 11 fight card Las Vegas.

The two men initially fought at UFC 196 in a welterweight contest, where fans saw Diaz snap McGregor’s 15 fight win streak, which included five straight (T)KOs under the UFC banner, with a second round rear-naked choke.

McGregor had previously stated his intention of dropping back down to featherweight in order to defend his 145-pound title. However, it was not soon after the UFC announced it’s plans to book the welterweight rematch.

UFC 200 will take place at Las Vegas’s new T-Mobile Arena on July 9. The event will be the culmination of the UFC’s 2016 International Fight Week.

The UFC has yet to make an official announcement.
