A welterweight title fight between reigning champion Robbie Lawler and Tyron Woodley is in the works for UFC 201 in Atlanta.

The news was confirmed during Wednesday’s broadcast of UFC Tonight following an initial report from Ariel Helwani of MMAFighting.com

Lawler (27-10) most recently defended his 170-pound title with a hard fought decision win over Carlos Condit at UFC 195 in January. Both men earned Fight of Night while finding themselves on the shortlist for Fight of the Year.

Prior to this win, “Ruthless” finished Rory MacDonald early in the fifth round of violent co-main event title fight at UFC 189. Both men were awarded Fight of the Night for their efforts, while earning several Fight of the Year awards from pundits.

Woodley (14-3), a two-time NCAA Division I All-American out the University of Missouri, has not been seen inside the Octagon since earning a split decision over Kelvin Gastelum at UFC 183 in January 2015. He was expected to return against former champion Johny Hendricks at UFC 192 before a weight cutting fiasco forced Hendricks out of the bout.

The entire is expected to go down on July 30. No other fights have been announced.
